Speaking Through Songs

Music is so extremely important to me and so many times I am spoke to through songs. It's a feeling way down deep, a gut wrentching feeling when you hear a song that speaks to your soul and to your heart! These are two right now that are speaking to me the most, about my relationship with R and about my relationship with the Lord at the current time:

Only Love Remains
JJ Heller
Scenes of you come rushing through
You are breaking me down
So break me into pieces
That will grow in the ground
I know that I deserve to die
For the murder in my heart
So be gentle with me Jesus
As you tear me apart

Please kill the liar
Kill the thief in me
You know that I am tired of their cruelty
Breathe into my spirit
Breathe into my veins
Until only love remains

You burn away the ropes that bind
And hold me to the earth
The fire only leaves behind whatever is of worth
I begin to see reality
For the first time in my life
I know that I’m a shadow
But I’m dancing in your light

Teach me to be humble
Call me from the grave
Show me how to walk with you upon the waves
Breathe into my spirit
Breathe into my veins
Until only love remains

Won't Stop
One Republic
Uh ohhNow i stared at you
From across the room
Until both my eyes were faded
I was in a rush
I was out of luck
Now I'm so glad that I waited
Well you were almost there
Almost mine...yeah
They say love ain't fair
But I'm doing fine

Cause i swear it’s you
I swear it’s you
I swear it’s you that I’ve waited for
I swear it’s you
I swear it’s you
I swear it’s you that my heart beats for
And it isn’t gonna stop
No it just won’t stop
Uh oh ohYeah

Now you were fine by night
But when the morning light comes
Comfortable as rain on Sunday
And I’m a lucky soul
That holds your hand so tight
Hope you hear this one day
Don’t fool yourself
This is my truth

I swear it’s you
I swear it’s you
I swear it’s you that i waited for
I swear it’s you
I swear it’s you
I swear it’s you that my heart beats for
And it ain’t gonna stop
It just won’t stop

You take this hand
You take this heart
Steal my bones
From 1000 miles apart
Feels so cold
Felt just like its ten shades of winter
And i need the sun
Ohh yeahh
Oh oh no no yeah yeah

And i swear it’s you
I swear you
I swear it's you that it waited for
I swear it’s you
I swear its
I swear it’s you that my heart beats for
I swear it’s you
I swear it’s you
I swear it’s you that I’ve waited for
I swear it's you
I swear it's youI
swear it’s you that my heart beats for
And it ain’t gonna stop
It just won’t stop
Heyy yeahh
It just won’t stop
No no no no woahh yeah
I swear it’s you
I swear it’s you
Ohh yeah

Cleaning Obsession

It's not really just a cleaning obsession cause I'm one who can let my house go "uncleaned" for a few weeks, but I love for everything to be neat and in order. I really think I have a problem! :) I'm obsessed with shows like clean house and love when the organization lady does her magic. I love for everything in the house to be in it's home so even though it may not be exactly clean I know it's neat. I can't even leave the blanket unfolded on the couch without it driving me crazy. Poor R is adjusting to this lifestyle seeing as how he is use to just laying stuff wherever and eventually picking it up when the spirit moves. I have been good about letting him do what he wants with his office and not complaining, letting it be his room! I'm doing my best to meet in the middle so my kids don't turn out clean crazy. This probably all stems from growing up in a household where everything was so clean I wouldn't think twice about eating off the floor. Maybe I should go to counseling or start my own type of clean house show! :) Happy cleaning!

Happy 2008!

It's a new year, even though it just feels like it did last week! :) I didn't make any resolutions, but I did pray on New Year's eve that R and I would become even stronger in our marriage as we grow together. 2007 was a crazy and exciting year for me so it's kind of sad to see it go, but I'm so looking forward to whatevers to come. I did have a crazy dream last night about babies and in my dream I was trying to talk R into having one....OMG! Hopefully that will wait till 2009, but whatever happens happens. Happy New Year everyone!!

Zzzzzzzz

So tired, oh so tired! R's schedule is killing me, killing me with lack of sleep. R works the 3:30 pm-midnight or later shift (depending on how much overtime he has to work). I go to sleep fine but wake up twice once he gets home, when he comes in the door and when he crawls into be bed hours later. Before I got married I would get up as soon as my alarm went off, now it goes off 3 times and sometimes I still struggle to roll out of bed. Luckly I'm at a job where coming in 5-10 minutes late is no big deal. I know I could be much more tired if I had a child I had to get up with many times a night, but that's why I don't have children yet so I don't have to get up! :) Sure hope R can get a shift change sometime, but I don't think that's for another 5 years so I'll remain tired until then! I might just have to make him sleep in the guest bedroom during the week for the next 5 years! :) Just more newly married adjustments....blah!

Holiday Cheer!

Sorry that everything is related to Christmas so far on here, but it is the Christmas season so deal with it! :) I'm feeling very much in the holiday mood for two reason today...my mom and I are going to spend all evening making cookies and she bought me the coolest Christmas light necklace that I'm wearing today at work (see above picture)! It's so awesome, it has 3 light modes! How could you not be in the holiday spirit with that on?!?!? Hope everyone is ready for Christmas, 15 days and counting!

Christmas Time

Living Room (representing UGA with the stocking)
Our First Christmas Tree
While I was home for lunch I took some pictures of our living room decorated for Christmas! I talked Rusty into getting a real tree since that's what we always had growing up. Looks much better than my office tree! :) Enjoy!
